Spring Blossoms – Drive Across the US

We did it. We stopped talking about it and we sold our beloved little farm in the Pacific NW. We put our sentimental possessions in a 10×10 storage unit, kept our little trailer and our cars…but, everything else–gone.

We’re homeless. It’s still sinking in.

We’re now on the quest to find a new home so we’re heading east.

Full disclosure, I’m conflicted. Born and raised in Baltimore, I’m an east coast girl…but I’ve lived more than half of my life on the west coast:

…when I travel east, I’m home….when I travel west, I’m at peace…

Yes, clearly conflicted.

Not really sure where we’ll finally call home for this new chapter, but to start we’re driving across the country, stopping at a few areas to check things out.

On this journey, our first pit stop was in a snowy mountain pass, east of Seattle…then I started to see spring unfold. So, sharing some blossoms for future inspiration. I hope one day to capture some of these in a greeting card or bookmark. The experience of these spring flowers is pure inspiration for me: the sweet smells, the powerful colors, the life force for native pollinators…from magnificent national parks to safe and convenient roadside rest stops — we have such a diverse country—and there’s so much more to see!! Can’t wait! xo
