Lost at Sea…

It’s been a while since I posted; hurricane Ian has consumed my existance for the last several weeks.

After downsizing most of our stuff earlier this year, and then driving from Alaska to Florida with the intention of moving to Southwest Florida, it’s been challenging to lose some special items.

This post is about saying goodbye to my car of 14 years (bought when my kids were little) that safely transported me 175K miles, our t@g Little Guy trailer, a newer addition to my life that quickly elevated camping experiences and allowed me to explore so many parks and places I could not have otherwise gone, and my zen paddleboard, which challenged me in new ways giving me peace, adventure, and independence. We also lost all of our camping gear and bikes on Sanibel. Both my car and trailer — stored across the causeway in Fort Myers — were flooded (now totaled).

As Sanibel and Fort Myers rebuild, I’ll use that as inspiration to figure out my new path. Honestly, not sure where I’ll land…

What is that saying? “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger…”

Stay tuned..

“Goin’ home, goin’ home, by the riverside I will rest my bones

Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul.”
