I’m happy to say we’re packing up today, getting ready to head back west — stopping in Seattle for a few days to see family then onto Kona for most of November.

To get over my “hurrican-Ian-funk,” I’ve painted my favorite labs..these are my friends’ dogs, and they kept me company while we escaped the wrath of the hurricane, hunkered down in their Cocoa Beach “fortress.” It’s amazing how intuitive dogs can be.

I’m also happy to say that we were able to retrieve my travel SUP paddle from Sanibel today..despite the stinky muck, it’s nice to have at least one old friend back…
