It’s a beautiful time of year here in Hawaii. We’re having evening rains and the plumerias, which are succulents, are loving it. Here are just a couple shots from today’s morning neighborhood walk.

We came home to Hawaii from extended adventure on Lei Day (May 1) and it was really beautiful seeing so many people wearing leis…
Plumeria (frangipani) was introduced in Hawaii in the 1800s, and today this sweet flower now represents “aloha.” Generally, language translators suggest that aloha means “hello” or “goodbye” for “greeting or parting.” However, like the greeting words in other Polynesian languages (eg. Maori or Tahitian) aloha conveys a spirt that includes love, peace, respect.
So, sending some aloha spirit to you, wherever you are. xo
