Such a great way to explore this amazing country—camping! that’s right, after having an amazing journey last year, it made sense to see more!
And we’re off!

Canberra
Beautiful city that was so very quiet and orderly! Definitely not like Washington DC! We enjoyed walking around the lonely city streets and the national museum.

Kosciuszko National Park
A rugged and vast park, but just a little cold for those of us with “Hawaii blood” … after shivering all night, we opted out of our preferred national park campgrounds and instead stayed in nearby towns so we could plug in for heat … after that, our trip was all about site seeing rather than surviving.
Yarrangobilly Area
Since I’ve been to Carlsbad Caverns NP, I was a little skeptical about stopping here. But, the hike in was sweet and the caves are very robust. definitely recommend this stop.

Mount Kosciuszko
From Thredbo, took the ski lift up, then walked on the pathway about 3 miles to the summit. Relatively easy hike with only gradual incline..most challenging part was the icy cold wind.

Now we’re heading toward the coast for a couple days before we unplug from camping and unwind in Sydney.
