Wrapping up our stay in mid- and south-eastern Australia .. I will miss the morning cackle of the kookaburra, the crisp-fresh autumn air, watching rugby at the pub, and the friendly “G’day Mate” .. since it appears we can’t relocate here, I’m thinking it’d be fun to come back and stay for a couple months in other parts of Australia … there’s so much more to see!
Port Macquarie
About 5.5 hours north of Sydney
This is cute beach town, on the edge of the Tasman sea..all the food places seem to be closed in the afternoon, at least when we were here (in the fall)

Newcastle / Stockton Beach
(2.5 hours north of Sydney)
Now here’s a small city that’s up-and- coming..currently under construction but it’ll be amazing in a couple years (actually it’s already amazing) so invest now! .. fwiw—unlike Port Macquarie, pubs and restaurants were open in the afternoon…

Sydney
We must come back to this amazing city..so clean, easy public transportation, spectacular beaches, shopping—not to mention the exchange rate is in our favor right now…nature is embedded in this city..
