June feels like hope. Growth has happened; now there is room to notice light and shadow, warmth and rest, presence and pause. In the northern hemisphere, midsummer light stretches late into the evening, creating a sense of balance rather than urgency. This month’s inspiration brings together the rose and mirrored forms that speak to partnership and quiet reciprocity.

Shaping the June Art Piece
For the June piece, I worked with mirrored movement rather than repetition. The background follows a double-spiral symmetry, allowing forms to echo one another without becoming identical. This quiet mirroring reflects the way relationships unfold—distinct yet intertwined.
At the center, a deep red rose emerges in three-dimensional embroidery, anchored by a gentle, bright green stem. Both the flower and its bud are raised from the surface, giving the piece a tactile presence. The dimensional stitching allows light and shadow to shape the form naturally, much like a rose turning slowly toward the sun.

Closing Reflection
June carries a kind of confidence that doesn’t need decoration. Working with mirrored forms and dimensional embroidery reminded me that connection is about resonance. Two shapes, two forces, two moments meeting in the light, each holding its own form while making space for the other.
