I really like this sweet little beach in Kona — there’s plenty of shade and white sand for a peaceful place to read a book or to watch surfers. It’s not a snorkel or swimming beach, but rather a quiet, shady spot with perfect views of palm trees, waves, and crystal clear waters.

This beach inspired Tom Morey to create the first “modern” Boogie Board. I say “modern” because the Polynesian Paipo Board was created many, many years before.

Access
Located on Ali’i Drive, within walking distance from Kailua Village, this quiet beach has free street parking, flush toilets, and an outside shower.

Here’s a quick view of the surf, with just a couple boogie boarders today.
Life’s good! 💛💜💚
