Becoming again

Art as a way of healing — through layers of light, form, and color.

Lately, I’ve been exploring a new way of creating — one that feels softer and slower.. something more layered and more textured.

I guess to mirror my life — as it is today, without excuses and without apologies.

I’ve been working with 100% cotton paper, watercolor, acrylics, ink, and embroidery, letting each material find its own rhythm on the page. These nine doodles came out of quiet moments, when color and shape started speaking in new ways. They feel like a conversation between the tangible and the emotional — threads of thought stitched into light, pigment, and texture.

This new work marks a kind of turning point for me. After a season of healing — both physical and emotional — I’m learning to trust process over outcome, and to find beauty in imperfection. Each layer, each mark, feels like a step forward into something new.

I’m excited for what’s next — not as a finished vision, but as an open space to grow, rebuild, and rediscover joy in the making.

💜💛💙

I absolutely LOVE this! What a beautiful perspective and so eloquently described. Thanks for the reminder to flow… and to converse with my media rather than try to control them
